Grime and grit, high crime rates and abandoned buildings are just some of the images that seep into your mind when thinking of Detroit. With the outsourcing of jobs and recession, the city had suffocated and deceased.

However, like the fresh budding of flowers and shards of grass victoriously protruding through the dirt, Brenton Little shows his surprise at how clean and progressive the city could be. “Monochrome observations” captures it’s loneliness and anticipation for prosperity in the Spring of 2017.
